Continuous Brass is een ensemble dat in wisselende bezettingen op de Nederlandse podia optreedt. Begonnen als kopertrio in 2006 is het ensemble in 2012 uitgebreid tot koperkwartet met bastuba.
Ook wordt er al vele jaren met pianist Armin Segger samengewerkt om tot spannende en verfrissende uitvoeringen te komen.
Voor de bezettingen kopertrio & koperkwartet zijn al vele originele composities uitgevoerd en het repertoire wordt continu uitgebreid. Tevens wordt op recitals met pianobegeleiding solorepertoire voor koperblazers in verschillende combinaties gespeeld. Continuous Brass richt zich op interessante en gevarieerde programma’s, ook in eigen beheer. Hedendaagse composities, maar ook muziek uit de Barok en werken van de ‘Weense Klassieken’ maken deel uit van het repertoire.
Samenwerking met Nederlandse componisten wordt ook gezocht en speciaal voor het kopertrio componeerde Marco de Goeij in 2007 ‘Intrada’, een spetterende openingsfanfare. Op 31 maart 2012 heeft Continuous Brass de wereldpremière van Marco de Goeij’s nieuwste compositie voor kopertrio getiteld ‘Jazz Impromptus’ in ’t Evertshuis te Bodegraven uitgevoerd.

Continuous Brass is an ensemble that performs on Dutch stages in various formations. Started as a brass trio in 2006, the ensemble expanded to a brass quartet with tuba in 2012 and has also collaborated for many years with pianist Armin Segger to deliver exciting and refreshing performances.
For the brass trio and brass quartet formations, many original compositions have already been performed, and the repertoire is continuously expanding. In addition, solo repertoire for brass players in various combinations is performed in recitals with piano accompaniment. Continuous Brass focuses on interesting and varied programs, also self-produced. Contemporary compositions, but also music from the Baroque period and works by the ‘Viennese Classics’ are part of the repertoire.
Collaboration with Dutch composers is also sought, and especially for the brass trio, Marco de Goeij composed ‘Intrada’ in 2007, a dazzling opening fanfare. On March 31, 2012, Continuous Brass performed the world premiere of Marco de Goeij’s latest composition for brass trio, titled ‘Jazz Impromptus,’ at ’t Evertshuis in Bodegraven.
